Clinical Operations Coordinator

Department: UrgentCare
Location: Livingston, MT

JOB SUMMARY:

The Urgent Care Clinical Coordinator assists the Emergency Services Director and Urgent Care Medical Director in providing leadership and assuring smooth day-to-day department operations and optimal patient experience.

Schedule:

  • 0.9FTE (36 hours)
  • Variable Days

Compensation:

  • $25.25/hr + DOE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports and models behaviors consistent with Livingston HealthCare’s Standards of Excellence.
  2. Assists Emergency Services Director with providing leadership and motivation to Urgent Care staff. Works to optimize workflows, and improve satisfaction for patients, providers, and staff.
  3. Supports the Emergency Services Director by providing input and support with the maintenance and development of guidelines, procedures, policies and required reporting.
  4. Works with department director and medical director to facilitate trainings, and other education opportunities to ensure best practices are being utilized.
  5. Assists department director with staff scheduling and timecards.
  6. Assists with staff rounding and employee engagement activities.
  7. Assists with Clarity reports in follow-up and opportunities for education and improvement.
  8. Assists with the yearly employee evaluation process, gathering input from other staff and providers.
  9. Assists department director in providing efficient communication and real time daily feedback to Urgent Care staff.
  10. Assists with chart reviews and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  11. Participates in departmental projects and performance improvement initiatives.
  12. Develops proficient working knowledge of Cerner and assists in training staff assuring consistency, compliance, and evolution of new workflows within the EHR (Cerner).
  13. Maintains and displays an appropriate degree of expertise. Acts as a resource for providers, staff, patients, and families.
  14. Bases decisions and actions on ethical principles and fosters a non-discriminatory, positive climate in which are is delivered in a manner sensitive to sociocultural diversity.
  15. Assists with interviewing, onboarding, training, development, and retention of staff.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department and organization.
  17. Contributes to the Urgent Care Committee agenda and action items as appropriate.
  18. Works one scheduled Medical Assistant shift per week.
  19. Assists with staffing as patient volume necessitates.

ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Attends all staff meetings and relevant organizational meetings unless prior excused.
  2. Attends all mandatory in-service classes.
  3. Completes all annual related educational competencies.
  4. Current knowledge of healthcare environmental trends.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):

  1. Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to remain calm and work collaboratively in stressful situations.
  2. Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.

ADDITONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience with Microsoft office
