JOB SUMMARY:

APP Hospitalist for Acute Care in-patient from 12pm-12am.

Schedule:

• PRN
• 12pm-12am
• Variable Days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Comprehensive care of all hospital patients through duration of each shift in collaboration with physician
2. Documentation of all patient care with appropriate structure (history and physical, etc.) and thoroughness
3. Respond and lead rapid response and code blue teams during shift
4. Competence in interpretation of all patient lab, radiographic, other studies in collaboration with physician
5. Full engagement in multidisciplinary rounds daily while on shift
6. Professional engaged team member in delivery of care to hospital patients
7. Complete comprehensive use of Cerner EHR
8. Participation in Chronic Care Management while on shift, responding to patient calls and Cerner messages
9. Participation in quality improvement efforts as supported by inpatient care leadership
10. Attendence and engagement in monthly inpatient services committee
11. Participation and input in ad hoc committee efforts as requested by acute services department chair

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Timely, efficient, collaborative communication with supervising hospitalist physician
2. Timely, professional, and professional response to ED and Physician Hospitalist requesting admission
3. Additional duties as assigned by Hospitalist team.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):

1. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Program
2. Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (ACNP, AG-ACNP)

3. 2+ years inpatient experience or equivalent
